ADULT SERVICES ADMINISTRATION

The Adult Services Department has initiated a letter writing campaign to Governor Strickland.  The focus of the letter writing campaign is to request Governor Strickland's support so that funds allocated to MRDD are not cut.  Both staff and individuals with disabilities have participated.  Letters and pictures were sent to the Governor.

The Adult Services Department is looking to add a supported employment work site in the Middlefield area.  This work site would consist of one (1) Geauga County Board of MRDD employee with 8 - 10 individuals.  The 8-10 individuals would consist of those people who live in the Middlefield/Burton area.  The benefits are shorter transportation rides, working in the community where one lives and the opportunity to access industries in the Middlefield area.
